About the role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Founders Associate Engineering (all genders) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the VP of Engineering to support various engineering operations. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth documentation processes, assisting with technical integrations, and facilitating effective communication within the team.
Your responsibilities
  • Documentation: You efficiently create and maintain detailed documentation for engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Technical Support: You aid in reviewing and understanding technical integrations and configurations within projects, contributing to troubleshooting and enhancements.
  • SQL and Web Development: You use SQL for database tasks and HTML, CSS, and PHP for minor coding and website adjustments.
  • Communication: You serve as a liaison between the VP of Engineering and other teams, including project managers and engineers, to keep all parties informed and aligned.
  • Task Management: You manage a variety of administrative and technical tasks as directed by the VP of Engineering, such as preparing reports, organising meetings, and handling specific project tasks.
  • Learning and Development: You participate in educational activities to advance your technical and professional skills.
  • Framework Development: You develop and implement a framework to enhance visibility and accountability within the CTO's direct reporting structure.
  • Research Support: You assist our R&D team with hypothesis-driven research and contribute to important decisions in our product roadmap by bringing in your analytical strengths.
About you
  • You are currently enrolled in a degree program related to Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field at a university.
  • You are proficient in SQL, with a good understanding of HTML, CSS, and PHP.
  • You have strong skills in documentation and attention to detail.
  • You are capable of comprehending complex technical topics.
  • You have excellent organisational and communication abilities.
  • You are able to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • We are open to everyone - cycling or not. That's why a diverse, cosmopolitan and inclusive team is important to us.
  • Everyone is an essential part of the buycycle vision - whether they are working students, full-time employees or CEOs.
  • We work with goals, not tasks, and follow a data-driven approach.
  • We never stop learning and developing. This not only gives you the chance to get better at what you do, but also to learn in and from other teams.
  • We know that different people have different needs. That's why home office and remote work are part of our culture.
  • Coffee, fruit baskets and muesli are basic provisions for us. Monthly team events, cosy after-work beers or sodas are also part of the package.
