About the role
As the Business Development Manager (all genders) for our growing pre-owned bike marketplace, you will lead the expansion and optimisation of our US service and commercial network. In this key role, you will strategically develop and scale our operations to maximise efficiency and elevate the customer experience. Your efforts will be essential in building a strong and agile infrastructure that ensures smooth collaboration between private sellers, buyers, and our external partners.
Your responsibilities
  • You become a key stakeholder in buycycle’s US expansion.
  • You develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for expanding the network of service points to support our marketplace operations in the US.
  • You develop and drive initiatives to onboard new commercial sellers to list their inventory on buycycle.
  • You manage our returns process and ensure a quick turnaround time to limit internal inventory.
  • You implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of our processes, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement independently.
About you
  • You are excited about the buycycle mission and are keen to identify and pursue projects independently.
  • You have already gained some experience in a consultancy, a dynamic start-up or scale-up environment, or something similar.
  • You have a strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute plans that align with business objectives and market demands.
  • You have strong negotiation and relationship-building skills to cultivate partnerships with service providers and stakeholders.
  • You have analytical proficiency to assess the performance of the network, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
  • You are proficient in data analysis, comfortable working with spreadsheets, and eager to delve into detailed analyses.
  • Experience with Zapier is considered a plus.
